Welcome. My name is Michelle Picard, author of fantasy, romantic fantasy and urban fantasy novels. I love to write dark, angsty characters with smart mouths, and a whole lot of potential for growth. Characters who struggle to make sense of their wounded hearts and souls as they come face to face with their destiny. Throw in the threat of world destruction and you’ve got my books in a nutshell.

If you read my bio, you’ll find I admit to a fascination with portals and gateways. Every novel I’ve written has one variety or another of them. In the first of my Eden series, RULING EDEN, you’ll discover the eerie, sentient portal that started my love affair with zinging between realities.

My other love is alternate creation mythologies. What explains and unifies the presence of the creatures populating Earth-based fantasy and paranormal stories? This question drove me to begin writing my recent release. Twisting myths we have come to know and love is quite fun. My own chance to play goddess.
